This book is devoted to the national awards of Latvia from 1918 to 1940. It includes award projects, descriptions, and images of the various orders and medals noting differences, as well as cavalier documents, photographs, and other materials. 
Special attention is paid to the Order of the Bearslayer with the inclusion of a complete list of the recipients. The book provides a good opportunity to become acquainted with the history of Latvia’s national awards.
Much of the material is published for the first time.
