vase, "Press Media Festivity", the cartoons of the chief editors of periodicals of the epoch, with original autographs around the vase's circle, on the upper part of the vase are the titles of periodicals, the corresponding cartoons and editor's autographs, porcelain, M.S. Kuznetsov manufactory, signed painter's work, handpainted by Vladimir Kandiyev, sketch by Romans Suta, Latvia, 1935, h 24.5 cm, Ø 19.5 cm, in the 1930s, the Press Media Festivity was organized annually in Latvia. The event was a very significant, elite event. At the factory of M.S. Kuznetsov, under the direction and with the participation of leading artists and sculptors, from one to several unique works dedicated to this event were created. The presented lot was made for the Press Media Festivity of 1935 in a single copy, as evidenced by the signature of the technical director of the factory Alexey Turkov (AT) with the label "1" (meaning of the mark: single copy work in the submitted shape and painted by the sketch).
